What happens when you call
No phone tree. No “your call is important to us.”
- A person answers: one of the owners, any hour of the night.
- You get instructions immediately: what to shut off, what to move, what to photograph.
- A crew rolls your way: with tarps, extractors, and dryers on the truck.
Start here
What happened at your place?
Pick what you're dealing with. We'll tell you exactly what to do in the next ten minutes, then what we'd do after that.
Water in the house: do these four things now
- If it's safe, shut off the water at the source or the main shut-off valve.
- Kill power to wet rooms at the breaker. Never stand in water near outlets.
- Move photos, documents, and anything irreplaceable up and out of the wet zone.
- Snap quick photos of everything before you touch it. Your claim will thank you.
After the storm passes
- Stay clear of downed lines, leaning trees, and sagging ceilings.
- Photograph damage from the ground, don't climb on a storm-damaged roof.
- If rain is getting in, we'll tarp and board up the same day.
- Don't sign anything from a door-knocking storm chaser. Get a local opinion first.
Water coming through the ceiling?
- Put a bucket under active drips and poke a small hole in a bulging ceiling to release water safely.
- Move furniture and electronics out from under the leak.
- Note when it leaks (heavy rain? wind-driven only?). It helps us find the entry point fast.
- We can tarp it today, then dry out and repair the ceiling and everything else the water reached.
After the fire department leaves
- Don't re-enter until the fire department says the structure is safe.
- Don't wipe soot off walls or run the HVAC, both make smoke damage worse.
- Board-up and roof tarping protect the home from weather and entry, we handle that first.
- Start a list of damaged items when you can. We'll photograph and inventory everything with you.
Found mold? Don't blast it with bleach yet.
- Don't scrub or spray it. Disturbing mold spreads spores through the house.
- Shut off HVAC to the affected area if you can.
- Look for the moisture source: mold is always a water problem first.
- We'll inspect, contain, and remove it properly, and fix the moisture so it stays gone.
Not sure what you're looking at? That's what we're for.
- Musty smell, stained ceiling, warped floor, storm just rolled through, all worth a look.
- Call and describe it; we'll tell you honestly whether it needs attention.
- If it deserves eyes on it, the inspection is free.
- If it's nothing, we'll tell you it's nothing. That's the whole point of a local company.

Learn moreWhy Twin Oaks
Two oaks. Two owners. One promise.
Twin Oaks is Tyler Hundley and Dillon Wallis, two families, one company, built here in Rogers County. The name isn't just the two of us. After a storm rolls through Green Country, look around: it's the oaks that are still standing. Deep roots, slow growth, built to outlast weather. That's how we build, and it's how we treat the homes we work on.
We started this company because we watched neighbors get passed between a mitigation franchise, an out-of-state storm chaser, and a rebuild contractor who'd never met either one, each pointing at the others while the family lived in a hotel. Nobody should have to be the general contractor of their own disaster.
We're proud to be a Cherokee-owned, family-owned company working the same Rogers County ground our families call home.
| What matters at 2 a.m. | Twin Oaks | National franchise | Rebuild-only contractor |
|---|---|---|---|
| Who answers the phone | An owner, 24/7 | National call center | Voicemail after 5 |
| Emergency cleanup + claim + rebuild | One company, one contract | Mitigation, then handoffs | Rebuild only, after someone else dries it |
| Who's accountable at the end | The neighbors you hired | Whoever holds the file today | Depends on the crew |
| Insurance documentation | Photos, moisture logs, line-item scope, help at adjuster visits | Varies by franchise | Usually an estimate PDF |
| Decisions made | On your driveway | At corporate | Between storms |
From disaster to done
You should never have to wonder what happens next.
Uncertainty is the worst part of a house disaster. Here's the whole road, up front.
-
Call & triage
You reach an owner, not a queue. We tell you what to shut off and what to move while the truck loads.
-
Stabilize
Tarps on, water out, board-up done, power made safe. The damage stops getting worse today.
-
Assess & document
Moisture readings, photos of everything, and a plain-English walkthrough of what we found, plus the start of your claim file.
-
Dry & clean
Commercial dryers and dehumidifiers, checked daily and logged. Contents packed out, cleaned, and stored if needed.
-
Scope & approval
We prepare the line-item scope, stand with you during the adjuster's visit, and make sure every bit of documented damage makes it into the approval.
-
Rebuild & finish
Framing to final trim, drywall to fresh paint. Our crews, our schedule, your finishes.
-
Walkthrough & warranty
We walk every room with you, fix the punch list, and hand you the warranty in writing.
Insurance claims
We speak fluent insurance.
The claim is often harder than the cleanup. It's also where the wrong contractor costs you real money.
- Everything documented: timestamped photos, moisture logs, and inventories from hour one.
- Line-item scopes in the format adjusters actually work in, no vague lump sums.
- We're there for the adjuster's visit, standing next to you to help point out everything we documented.
- Supplements handled: when hidden damage shows up mid-job, we file it, not you.
- Your deductible is your only surprise-free number: we'll explain the rest before work starts.
Our work
Drag the handle. This is the part we love.
Same address, same family, different day. Real photos from real Twin Oaks jobs go here as we complete them.
Water loss → full kitchen rebuild (photo placeholders, replace with your first completed job).
Storm claim → interior rebuild (photo placeholders).
Reviews
What neighbors say matters more than what we say.
We're a new company with old-fashioned standards, and we intend to earn every star in public.
Placeholder cards, swap in real Google reviews as they arrive (see README)
“Placeholder review, after your first completed jobs, paste real Google reviews here word-for-word (with the customer's permission).”
“Placeholder review, real words from real neighbors convert better than anything we could write. Ask every happy customer for a review.”
“Placeholder review, link each one to the live Google review so visitors can verify it's genuine.”
The Founding Promise
Until our review wall fills itself, judge us by this: if you're not satisfied at the final walkthrough, we come back until you are. Every job. Both owners' phone numbers. In writing.
